    While visiting Abby for the first time in San Diego, she took Kat and I to La Jolla Cove to hang out.  I instantly fell in love with the place!  From the friendly people, quaint shops and restaurants, art galleries, seals, and the breathtaking views of the ocean, this gem of a location stole my heart.  I knew I had to share this place with Matt, and soon we'd be driving the 2 hour drive at least once a month to hang out for the day and sometimes for the weekend.  It later became one of  "our places."  Early on in our relationship, this is where we  would go for a mini-vacation, to celebrate special occasions, and was a must stop every time we went to San Diego.  Therefore, it was fitting that we had our engagement shoot here.  It was a beautiful day in La Jolla! It was supposed to rain, and after previously rescheduling our shoot due to rain I was thankful for the blue skies and sunshine! Justin did an awesome job capturing us in these pictures.  We're just two dorks frolicking and gallivanting in La Jolla. Haha Justin and his assistant/girlfriend, Gaby, were so fun to work with and made us feel real comfortable.  It was like hanging out with friends for the day!  It was their first time going to La Jolla Cove so Matt and I were more than happy to show what made this place a special place to us.  Thanks Justin for the wonderful pictures. This past weekend we celebrated one of Matt's godson's, Andrew Shawn's, 1st birthday.  How time flies, can't believe he's 1 already.  He was SO cute and it looked like the happy Geraldez family had bunches of fun, as did we!!  Happy Birthday Andrew!  Thank you for letting us be a part of your life! Love you!

  Last night, Drea and I went to Janet Jackson's concert at the Gibson Amphitheater at Universal.  It  was an AMAZING show!!  No crazy stage sets, costumes, or effects.. it was just her, her songs, and her moves!  Dang.. some of her songs took me back to my childhood when I'd stand in front of the mirror holding a brush pretending it'd be my mic! And I only hope I'll still have that much energy and can move like her when I'm her age.  I barely can do that NOW! Haha
  We started off the night with dinner at City Walk where we met up with Kat, and later Gwynn and her friend.  We also ended up bumping into other friends which isn't a surprise it being a Janet.  Who wouldn't want to see her in concert?! The show had us singing along and up on our feet. Thanks Drea for driving my tired self!  VIP all the way! Lol (There are benefits of having me (lazy) as a friend! Haha!)  Thanks Miss Jackson for an awesome time!  You never fail us!

Yay!! We got our first response card today!  And it was a YES! Can't wait to see the Capulongs! :) Thank you for being super speedy!

2 years ago we celebrated #9 in Temecula Wine Country with Matthew thinking about proposing and Natasha not knowing that she was going to be engaged at the end of the year.. last year we celebrated #10 in Santa Barbara followed by an engagement party excited for the year ahead... and today we celebrate #11 as Natasha packs for her bachelorette trip. Haha! Thank you to the Felix's for taking us out to dinner tonight!  Can't believe it's been that long... time really does fly when you're having fun! :)

   This weekend we had our engagement shoot with Justin and Gaby in La Jolla.  It was a ton of fun and it was surreal to be there with Matt taking our pictures. We've always talked about taking our pictures there and to actually be there doing it... crazy!  It was forecasted to rain, and since we've already rescheduled our shoot already a couple weeks before, I was bummed.  But someone up above was listening because we couldn't ask for a more perfect day! Justin is an amazing photographer and we cannot wait to see the photos. He works well with our personalities which made us comfortable to shoot with him.  He thoroughly thought threw each shot he took of us and watching him get into his "zone" made us feel like we were in good hands. Thank you Justin and Gaby for a wonderful experience and for capturing us at our moments! Also for putting yourselves in danger- all for good pictures! Ha!  Here is a sneak preview of our pictures!  And yes that picture is real, Matt and I were at the top edge of that cliff.  Again, all for good pictures! Haha!

Today it started to feel really REAL.  I brought my dress back to the salon for my initial fitting for alterations.  The only thing on my mind was hoping it would fit..and yay it does! Haha! As I had the dress on, looking in the mirror as the lady did her thing to the dress around me, I thought to myself.. I am wearing a wedding dress and am really getting married! Is that normal because I felt like a complete dork!  :)
